“Obeying the call of Acts 2:38 is what makes the difference!”

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

WE ARE..

An Apostolic church, one which has its foundation, doctrine, and order based upon the teaching of the Apostles of Jesus. Throughout the scriptures the Apostles obeyed His direct Comand

  • And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42 KJV)

*    The Open Door International Ministries, Jesus Name Apostolic Church asserts that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that the fundamental plan of salvation consists of these major doctrinal truths:

St. John 3:5 Except a man be born of the water and the spirit he cannot enter into he kingdom of God

Our Belief is in the Lord Jesus Christ as the One True God

Luke 24: 45 Repentance and Remissions of sins should be preached in His name among all nations

Acts 2: 38 The Baptism by immersion in water in the Name of Jesus Christ

Acts 2: 4 The Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.

There is only one God—the Father

(Mal. 2:10; 1 Cor. 8:6).

Jesus is God

(John 8:58; Titus 2:13).

Conclusion: St. John 5:43 Jesus said, I came in my Father's name, If another would come in his own name him ye will receive - Jesus is the Father

Matt 1: 21 And she shall bring forth a Son and thou shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins - Jesus is the Son

St. John 14:26 But the CONFORTER, which is the HOLY GHOST, whom the FATHER shall send IN MY NAME -Jesus is th Holy Ghost

St. John 4:24 God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and In Truth.

Jesus is the Father and the Son. Jesus has two natures: Divine as the Father/Holy Spirit, and human as the Son of God.

About God

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

About God
We believe there is One God who rules the universe, who is infinite in power and Holy in nature. He has been revealed to us as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit to the church. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are manifestations of One eternal being. God has the absolute power and ability to become what He wants to be and yet remain what He is. I AM THAT I AM
Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 37:16,20; 43:10-13; 44:6,8,24; 45:5, I Corinthians 8:6, II Corinthians. 5:19, Ephesians 4:6.

There is Only One God

There is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the Creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), in the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).

About Jesus

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God. We believe in His virgin birth and His sinless life. We also believe He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for humanity. He arose from the dead after three days to
demonstrate His power over sin, hell and death. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Almighty God that was manifested in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto gentiles, believed on in the world
and received up into glory.... In Jesus Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily....
Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:22-23, John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:9, I Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:14-15, Revelations 1:8.

About the Holy Spirit

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"           John 8:32

We believe God has manifested Himself as the Holy Spirit to the church - the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit is God Himself. He is present in the world to convict men and women of their sins and their need for Christ. After salvation, He provides the Believer with power for Holy living and the understanding of spiritual truth. He also equips the believer to become a witness for Christ, and gives guidance to do the right things. Every Believer should seek to live under His influence daily. John 4:13-14; 7:37-39; 14:16-17; 16:7-13, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 2:12;3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Colossians 1:27.

About the Bible

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe the Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God to us. Human authors under supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit wrote it. It is the supreme source of Truth for Christian beliefs, conduct, and
lifestyle. Because the Bible is inspired (God-breathed) by God, it is Truth without any mixture of error.
Deuteronomy 8:3, Psalms 119:105, Proverbs 30:5, Isaiah 55:11 Matthew 4:4, II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21.

About Man's Fall and Redemption

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32
We believe every person is created in the spiritual image of God. However, through Adams transgression and disobedience, he fell in sin. Through Adams fall, sin entered into the world. No amount of good works or church attendance or personal morality will change that. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was given to destroy the works of the devil and gave His life and His shed blood to redeem and to restore man back to God. The salvation of Jesus Christ redeems us from the curse of the law. Genesis 3:1-24, Romans 3:23; 5:12, Galatians 3:13, Ephesians 1:4-14, Hebrews 9:14,15, I Peter 1:18-23, I John 3:8.

About Salvation

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32
We believe Salvation is a free gift of Gods divine grace. However, the salvation of Jesus Christ must be received and we cannot make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Salvation begins with faith
in Christ and repentance from sin and a self-ruled life. Every Believer in Christ must be in obedience to the Word of God concerning waters of baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit. All those who have truly repented
and have received Christ can be filled with the Holy Spirit with the initial signs following as on the Day of Pentecost.
John 3:3-7, Mark 16:15-18, Acts 2:1-4; 4:12; 2:28; 10:45-46; 19:6, Romans 10:9,10,
Ephesians 2:8-9.

About Repentance

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32
We believe Mans first step toward salvation is repentance. Repentance from the heart should accompany ones faith in Christ, water baptism in the name of Jesus and receiving the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist
preached repentance. Jesus proclaimed it and commanded that repentance and remission of sins be preached in His name among all nations.
Mark 16:16, Luke 24:47, Acts 2:38; 4:12, II Corinthians 7:10.

About Water Baptism

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe the correct formula for water baptism that was used by the early New Testament Church, biblically and historically was in the name of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, because water Baptism was commanded and
demonstrated by Jesus, it should be practiced by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is literal fulfillment of His command to His disciples to Baptize converts in the name of the Father, and of the Son
and the Holy Spirit. All Believers who have not been baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ should seek to do so.
Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5, Romans 6:1-7, Col. 3:17,I Peter
3:20-21.

About The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe every Believer who has repented and received Christ can be and should be filled with or baptized with the Holy Spirit and speak with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them the utterance or the ability
to speak a new language. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is received by faith in the name of Jesus. Tongues are the initial physical sign of the indwelling presence of God in the believer. Every spirit-filled believer should regularly pray in tongues for their spiritual edification.
Joel 2:28, Mark 16:15-18, Luke 11:13, John 4:13, 14; 7:37-39, Acts 1:8; 2:1-4, Colossians 1:27, Jude 20.

About Sanctification

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe sanctification is the second phase of salvation and is a life-long process. The word sanctify means to be set-apart for a particular use. The Bible teaches us to live holy and separated lives and without holiness
no man can see the Lord. Sanctification is a definite work, yet a progressive work of grace, beginning at the time of salvation and continuing until the consummation of the Believers life on earth.
I Corinthians 1:30, II Corinthians 3:18, Phil. 3:12-14, I Thessalonians 5:23, II Peter 3:18, Hebrews 12:14.

About Divine Healing

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe divine healing is available to all Believers and is a part of the Atonement and the New Covenant. Healing can be applied to the physical and mental sicknesses and diseases of the human body. Healing is
wrought by the power of God, through the prayer of faith, the word of God, and the laying on of hands. Healing is a divine privilege for every member in the Body of Christ. It is Gods will that we walk and live in
divine health.
Psalms 103:3, Isaiah. 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, Mark 16:18, I Peter 2:24, James 5:14-15.

About the Lord's Supper

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe that the Lords Supper is one of the great sacraments of the Church. Melchizedek, the High Priest of God, gave the first communion to Abraham, consisting of bread and wine. Christ, being a High Priest"after
the order of Melchizedek evidently administered the same. Christ also commanded that we have communion (the Lord's Supper) regularly until His coming. In having communion we show forth His death and the purpose of His power.
Genesis 4:18, Matthew 26:26-29, I Corinthians 11:19-34, Hebrews 6:20.

About the Rapture and the Second Coming

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe in the Rapture (the catching away), that the dead in Christ shall rise and the saints who are alive on earth at the time of the Rapture will be "caught up to meet the Lord in the air". This event constitutes the
resurrection of the Just and the catching away of the Saints. The Second Coming of the Lord is when He will make a change in the present order of things. Following the tribulation, Jesus Christ shall return to the earth
as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and together with the Saints shall reign a thousand years.
John 14:13, I Thessalonians 4:14-17, I Corinthians 15: 51-58, Titus 2:13, Jude 14,15, Revelations 19:11-21, 20:6.

About Eternity

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" John 8:32

We believe God created the human spirit and it will exist forever. The human spirit will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through the forgiveness of sin and the salvation of Jesus Christ. Heaven and Hell are realities of our eternal existence. Those who physically die in sin without salvation, are hopelessly and eternally lost forever in the Lake of Fire. After ones life ends on earth, there is
no further opportunity to hear the Gospel, repent and receive salvation.
John 3:16;14:17, Romans 6:23; 8:17-18, I Corinthians 2:7-9.
